I really like this simple tidbit and straight-line roadmap from Seth Godin:

Attract people in trouble > Help solve their problems > Build your reputation > Sales happen

It keeps me focused at work because my work is all about starting conversations and drawing attention to my clients. Here’s how this works:

  • You have a new product or service and no one knows you do
  • market2world helps define the value proposition and create awareness for your offering
  • market2world has a reputation for marketing successes and continues to build all the time (proof here and here and here)
  • Sales/awareness build for you and market2world builds more reputation (happy clients are our number one source of new business)
  • A chorus of wild “Yeehaws!” echo throughout your offices and ours

A recent case in point – eDev Technologies

Toronto, Canada’s eDev, a new software requirements management company with a product called inteGREAT, was unknown to the software development marketplace. As a referral from Marketcircle, another of our happy clients, eDev needed to increase its profile, launch inteGREAT and sign some new customers. market2world helped hone the company’s value proposition, interviewed an existing customer to establish a clear ROI for inteGREAT, timed the inteGREAT launch with an industry tradeshow in March, and then executed a tailor-made PR campaign – including outreach to industry bloggers as well as mainstream IT media. By May 2008:

  • inteGREAT’s launch at ProjectWorld in Toronto, Ontario, had been reported at ITWorld Canada and at TechVibes blog
  • eDev’s CEO, Asif Sharif, and an inteGREAT customer prepped by market2world had been interviewed for an article at ITWorld
  • Project management blogs with clout in the software requirements management space, such as Project Shrink, PMToolbox and PMThink!, were posting news about inteGREAT
  • eDev signed several key enterprise and government clients for inteGREAT pilot projects

We call that “Yeehaw!”-worthy. Why not join in a similar celebration? Call or email market2world to get the party started.
