Just shy of two years ago, we got a call from Alykhan Jetha (AJ), an aggressive, smart software CEO in Markham, Ontario. AJ had just returned from the Macworld Conference & Expo where his company, Marketcircle Inc., made a substantial investment in boothware and product packaging, and his PR firm had let him down. He used Google to search for a PR company that had helped deliver Mac market product awards for his clients and found market2world. He also liked the fact we're an all-Mac shop and could (and do) use his products - Daylite and Billings - in our day-to-day operations.
In addition to a concentrated product PR and thought leadership campaign, we've been working with AJ and his team throughout most of 2007 planning for this year's Macworld show, and our news will be rolling out shortly. But we already know it's going to be a great event because today Macworld Magazine announced The 23rd Annual Editors' Choice Awards for Billings 2.5. The "Eddy" awards are the Ultimate Bling in the Mac community. And at this year's Macworld show AJ and his crew will be accepting a beautiful piece of golden metal that honors their work and dedication for creating great software. Here's what Macworld's Philip Michaels says about Billings 2.5:
With Billings 2, Marketcircle adroitly walks the line between packing the time-tracking and invoice-creation tool with features and keeping it easy to use. Billings’ features give you the power to customize tax rates and invoice templates and track billable hours with a free-floating timer; at the same time, a setup assistant makes it easy to get started without any fuss. Version 2.5 improves integration with other programs such as Marketcircle’s business productivity manager Daylite as well as Project Wizards’ Merlin, and revamps the main window for ease of use.
Macworld's editors aren't the only ones who love Marketcircle software. Across the Atlantic, today Erik Vlietinck at IT Enquirer also gave the IT Enquirer Golden Cube for Business Applications to Billings 2.5, a package that he says "is now probably the best and most integrated invoicing application for Mac OS X." And last month, the UK's MacUser Magazine awarded Billings Best Business Software of the Year.
Way to go Team Marketcircle! You haven't even set foot on the Macworld tradeshow floor and the hardware's piling up like cordwood. We're proud of you and are doing our part to make this your best Macworld ever.
